My integrative approach
As an Integrative Therapist, I combine a range of therapeutic approaches to suit each individual I work with.
This means our sessions are shaped around you — your experiences, your pace, and what you need from therapy at any given time.
My aim is to create a calm, supportive space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions, while also working towards meaningful change. Some sessions may feel reflective and exploratory, while others can be more structured and goal-focused.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship — building genuine trust and understanding so you feel truly heard and valued.
To guide our work together, I draw mainly from the following models:
Person Centred Therapy
A gentle, supportive approach that focuses on empathy, understanding, and unconditional positive regard.
It allows you to explore your experiences at your own pace, in a safe and non-judgemental space.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Explores how early life experiences and relationships influence your current patterns of thinking and behaviour.
By understanding what lies beneath the surface, you can begin to make lasting changes.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
A practical, goal-focused approach that looks at how your thoughts affect your feelings and behaviours.
Together, we identify unhelpful patterns and find more balanced, compassionate ways of responding.

Person Centred
Carl Rogers, an American Psychologist was the founder of the 'Person centered approach' in the 1940's.
The idea of this theoretical approach is that it is the client which leads, the therapist provides unconditional positive regard, congruence and empathy.
This approach holds the belief that all people have the desire to be the best versions of themselves and know best how to achieve this, self actualization.
The sessions will be led by you and the therapist will be non directive.
Psychodynamic
Sigmund Freud, an Austrian neurologist was the founder of psychoanalysis.
His theories that the analyzing of our unconscious mind, brings to light why we are the way we are.
Focusing on childhood and our development through the Psychosexual stages, Freud explains that our past informs our present.
This approach will link past relationships with caregivers and childhood experience to present ways of being.
The sessions will be more focused on the client to therapist relationship, building trust to enhance therapeutic intimacy and have a more analytical theme.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
The Father of CBT is Aaron Beck, 1960's and was a Professor of Psychiatry.
By focusing on how thoughts inform feelings and then our behaviour, CBT is a useful tool for challenging your perceptions or thinking.
The idea is to focus on the here and now and how you can view yourself more positively.
This is useful to treat long-term issues, depressive conditions or pessimistic or critical thinking.
